Shaun Adams is a full time senior network & database security analyst at one of the largest publishing companies in the world (based in New York City). Raised in central New Jersey, Shaun is an alumnus of the NAACP ACT-SO program.
Shaun attended college at Lincoln University, the first historically black college, where he presided over the debate team, forensics society and Lincolnian school newspaper.
After college, Shaun went on to coach, mentor, judge, and assist the New Jersey ACT-SO program for many years. In 2009, Shaun was elected to serve as the ACT-SO chairperson of the New Brunswick area branch where he successfully grew the program from a handful of students to hundreds of participants and alumni.
Shaun has received numerous awards, accolades and recognition from major corporations, such Johnson & Johnson, for his outstanding work in the community with the ACT-SO program. Shaun loves to mentor students and is a firm believer that students can achieve anything that they put their minds to.
In his spare time, Shaun likes to read, play chess, and help other ACT-SO chairs, from around the country, build their local ACT-SO programs, and the national ACT-SO brand.
Shaun currently resides in Columbia, South Carolina, with his lovely wife Tia of seventeen years, his son – Jeremiah, and his daughter, Jada.
